Free 3-in-1 Credit Report & Scores

There are many ads out there for "Free Credit Reports".  Well, we think it's best to be honest and upfront about Free Credit Reports.  Please remember to always read the fine print on these offers.

Most sites will try and trick you into getting your Free Credit Report, by hiding the fact that you are actually enrolling into a Credit Monitoring Program, which could be up $29.95 per month.(!)

Of course the Credit Report is technically free, however it's only during a free trial period. Then you have to pay a monthly fee to continue the service.  Based on our research, we have compared all the Credit Monitoring / Free Credit Report offers  so you can pick the best one to suit your needs.

Remember - Ordering Your Own Credit Report or Score will not affect your Credit Report in any way

Here are the Top Free Credit Report Services:

Our Take:  We think this is a great deal because you get Free 30 day trial with Enrollment, and 3-in-1 Credit Report (all 3 agencies - Experian, Equifax, and Transunion) along with 3 separate Credit Scores from all Three Agencies.  Most Monitoring products only give you a one agency Credit Report or Score.  Another great benefit is that you get great tools that help you can do to improve your Credit Score, personalized just for your unique situation.  It also happens to be one of the cheapest at only $12.95 / Month, and you get a toll free number for any questions. Our Take:  We think this is a good deal because it is the only offer that gives lets your see your official FICO Score.  However, you can only see your Equifax report with this offer, not the other two Credit agencies.  Also, it's the best deal for one year of credit monitoring at $7.50 /Month, however you have to buy one year up front after your free 30 days.

FreeCreditReport.Com

  • Receive email alerts of key changes to any of your 3 credit reports
  • Get unlimited Experian credit reports & credit scores with paid membership

    And more!

Our Take:  We think this is a OK deal, but you only get to see One Credit Report from Experian, however you do get monitoring from the other two agencies.  However, for the same price there are better deals that will give you all 3 Scores and Reports.

  • Triple Bureau Credit Monitoring provides automatic alerts when activity is detected to your credit files at all three credit bureaus

  • FREE 3-in-1 Credit Report and Triple Score — get unlimited online access to your 3-in-1 Credit Report and Triple Score, which merges your credit information and scores from all three credit reporting bureaus into one easy-to-read report.

  • Online access to FICO® Scorewatch, which automatically notifies you of changes to your FICO® score — at members-only rates.

  • Unlimited, toll-free access to Credit Report Customer Service

Our Take:  Privacy Matter gives you the most information, including your three scores and reports.  However, the monthly fee is $19.95 - $29.95 and the free trial period is only 7 days vs. 30 days for the other programs.  If you want your complete credit picture, you maybe want to choose this however it is the most expensive option.  Again, the score is your estimated Credit Score, not your official FICO Score, however they do offer you a discount to see your official FICO Score.

A Quick Note about Credit Scores

With the exception of MyFico.Com above, all the other services provide an "Estimated Credit Score".  However, when you go to get any type of loan, your lender will probably pull your actual FICO Score.  The difference between your Credit Score and FICO Score is that only Fair Isaac can give you a real FICO score, the rest of the three agencies (Equifax, TransUnion, Experian) just estimate what your score is.
